Eating Disorders

Eating disorders are serious mental health conditions involving disturbances in eating behaviour, body image, weight concerns, food restriction, binge eating, purging, compulsive exercise, or loss of control around food. Bulimia Nervosa: Involves binge eating followed by compensatory behaviours such as vomiting, laxative misuse, fasting, or excessive exercise.
Binge Eating Disorder: Involves recurrent binge eating episodes with distress and loss of control, without regular compensatory behaviours.
